Double-End Diaphragm Pumps

The natural frequencies of pipes cause pulsation where even low-level volume fluctuations from a pump match the pipe frequency.

Filling the dip in the flow which is caused by directional valve change over gives a constant flow velocity without pressure spikes. The frequencies are so low that even a single connection accumulator with a large unobstructed connection has time to change from flow in to flow out. The large connection accumulator should be fitted so that the pulses are directed straight at the damper diaphragm. For slurries or other systems that may need flushing, a flow-through twin-ported damper such as the Pipehugger LP shown is used.
